Antietam Iron Works is creating a patio railing for a home in Washington DC. Video coming soon! These are some sneak peaks at the work going into each post. Metal is a difficult medium to work with. Because of the size of the posts (1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ square bar) it was required to be heated to near melting point to twist the material. Each one was upset on the end and chiseled to create this effect. The railings is ready for finish and installation. It has been a joy working on this Spanish Colonial home.
